Welcome to SPLASH PAGES, a site dedicated to Wally Wood specifically and to comic books in general. The title of the site has inspired me to post splash pages from the comics I have in my collection, some of them from landmark issues, others that may be personal favorites or possibly pages that are especially interesting. Whatever the criteria, I will attempt to update them frequently, although my best intentions rarely bare fruit. I also encourage those of you with a special interest in comics as an art form to send me splash pages from your favorite comics or those that may be rare or a novelty. Simply attach a large jpeg to an , about 590 pixels wide would do. We'll have to see how well this works. I may have to include a page that will send the art automatically, but I hope I won't have to.

SPLASH PAGES has been knocking around in my brain for nearly ten years. I wanted to put together a website devoted to Wally Wood and the comics I grew up with, which I did do with my other web page Psychosaurus. However I realized the content on that site was too diverse, and I wanted to narrow my focus.

In addition to creating a shrine to Wally Wood, I wanted a place I could publish comic book stories on the web, both my own and those of contributers. I have a variety of story ideas I'd like to bring to life. When the dust settles from constuction of this site I plan to work them up.

The Splash Page theme grew directly out of the web site name. Originally my business partner and I bought the web name as a title for an on-line yellow page directory. Whether or not we would have been successful with it we'll never know, because the project never saw the light of day. Years later the business relinquished the domain name and I decided to snap it up.

It's a lot of work putting together a website, especially if you do all the work yourself. All of the copy here is written by me. I don't have an editor to correct my mistakes or check my facts. If you come across any erroneous information feel free to . I also encourage anyone who feels inclined to contribute articles or artwork to this site to send it in. Variety is a good thing.
